AND START LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD.
At times, you may identify as a low-key headcase.
At other times, a very high-key one.
I've been a headcase for most of my life.
But recently, I've made MASSIVE progress towards living outside of my head, in the real world.
I'm by no means all the way there, but I've learned a couple things that may help you in your journey...
If you're ready, I'll share them with you now.
But remember, all change starts with awareness.
So be honest with yourself.
Are you living in your head?
1. THINK WITH ACTIONS --- NOT THOUGHTS
Instead of guessing how something is going to turn out...
Just try it.
If it doesn't work out as you planned, you can always try something else.
Unless you don't try it all...
Just thinking about stuff guarantees no chance of it working.
Give yourself a chance and just do it.
2. GET INTO YOUR BODY (AND OUT OF YOUR HEAD).
When you're feeling too in your head, do these things, then go back to what you were doing.
- Go to the gym
- Go for a run
- Take a hot/cold shower
- Go for a walk in nature
- Have sex
- Eat nourishing food
- Take a nap
Bringing your attention to your body by doing something with it makes it much easier to live in reality.
When you're overthinking things, do any of the above.
Stepping away from problems, letting them marinate, and then coming back to them is a huge lifehack.
When you take care of your body during your break, it becomes that much easier to look at your problems objectively.
Ultimately, getting into your body brings you closer to your intuition.
The better you are at understanding your own internal compass...
The better you'll be at listening to it.
3. TALK TO REAL PEOPLE.
It's easiest to talk to fake people.
By fake people I mean humans that are represented by a computer or cell phone.
There is nothing that can replace real, in-person, human connection.
Let me say that again...
NOTHING CAN REPLACE REAL, IN-PERSON CONNECTION.
Join a club, team, or group that has in-person meetings.
Feel people's energy. Feel their vibe. Expose yourself to real humans.
